Friedrich List Monument

Friedrich List is the most famous son of the city of Reutlingen. He lived from 1789 to 1846. As one of the most important economic theorists in Germany, he is known as the founder of the modern political economy. He supported the German Customs Union and the expansion of the railway network. His monument was created in 1862 by the sculptor Kietz and the caster Howaldt. Miraculously, it survived the 1945 bombing attack without damage.
