Our Vielfalt-lingen
Reutlingen becomes a stage for creative ideas
With the project "Unser Vielfalt-lingen," we are transforming eight shop windows on Wilhelm and Krämer streets into vibrant platforms for culture, creativity, and community. They are designed by the people of Reutlingen themselves: clubs, schools, artists, initiatives – everyone who wants to make a piece of Reutlingen's diversity visible.
What's it about?
The goal of the project is not only to enhance the downtown area visually but also to use it as a space for participation, dialogue, and creative impulses.
Whether exhibitions, participatory formats, art, sports, music, or education – every idea is welcome as long as it contributes to togetherness and is not political or exclusive.

What is being searched for?
Design ideas for 2–3 adjacent storefront window areas that…
- Address and inspire people,
- creative, feasible, and publicly presentable.
- Can be assembled and disassembled within 3 hours.
- Do not use any hazardous elements (such as fire, etc.).
This is how the application process works:
- Develop idea
- Fill out online application form
- Submission deadline: one month before the desired period or the new month (beginning of May – end of September)

We answer the most important questions:
Do I incur costs?
Only the costs for the design, such as personnel and material costs, must be borne by you. No costs such as rental fees will be incurred.
How many windows am I allowed to design?
There are 3 and 2 windows respectively to be designed; they are connected and linked with a frame decal. Or rather, this is how the connection is represented.
What are the framework conditions?
No commercial use, political, or discriminatory topics may be displayed. If a tenant moves into the building in the meantime or the space is used for another purpose, it may no longer be possible to use the shop windows for displays.
How much time do I have to design the window?
3 hours each for setup and takedown.

When will I be notified?
